FAQ
Real slot monitoring (Berlin) — the system detects specific appointment dates and times available in the booking system. Your notification includes the date, time, and a direct booking link.
Portal monitoring (München, Dortmund) — the system checks when the booking portal is accepting requests. Due to how these portals are structured, exact slot details are not extracted. You are notified that the portal is reachable and should visit the official booking page immediately.
No. Appointment slots are controlled entirely by the city portals. Slots can disappear within seconds. We notify you as quickly as technically possible, but availability is not under our control. Think of us as a fast lookout — the booking itself depends on you and the portal.
These cities use different booking systems that require additional integration work. City pages are live and contain official links and preparation guides — but automated monitoring is not yet active. We are working to expand coverage.
The monitoring system checks approximately every 30 seconds. When availability is detected, an email is dispatched immediately. Total time from slot appearance to your inbox is typically under 1–2 minutes, depending on your email provider.
No. Automatic booking on government portals is not technically possible without your personal credentials, and we do not handle those. When you receive the notification, you click the link and complete the booking yourself on the official government website.
No. CivicAssist (DE) is a private, independent service. We have no affiliation with any German city, Bürgeramt, Ausländerbehörde or federal agency. We access only publicly available booking pages — the same ones you can visit yourself. We do not have privileged or priority access.
Monitoring continues but temporarily pauses sending notifications while the portal is unreachable. Your subscription time is not wasted — if a technical outage occurs on our end, your access period is extended automatically. Once the portal recovers, monitoring resumes without any action from you.
Monitoring is a live service — it runs continuously from the moment of activation. Because the service is delivered immediately, refunds are generally not available for unused monitoring time. Please review our Refund Policy before purchase.
Enter the email you used at checkout — we will show your monitoring status.
