How we research, write, and keep this content accurate.
Last updated: July 2026.
GermanyFlow is built and maintained by an independent developer, not a newsroom or a law firm. Content is written from personal experience navigating German bureaucracy, combined with research into official sources for each topic.
Facts about specific procedures (which documents are required, where to submit them) are checked against official government and municipal websites (e.g. service.berlin.de, Bundesagentur für Arbeit, Familienkasse). Market data such as the rent ranges on our Housing Guide are checked against public sources like IfW rent indices and labeled with the date they were last checked. Our own document and Termin monitoring prices come directly from what we charge — see Pricing.
Pages are reviewed and updated when we become aware that a rule, fee, or process has changed, plus periodic date-stamped refreshes for volatile figures like rent ranges. We don't promise a fixed schedule for every page — we just don't leave clearly stale numbers up.
This site provides general, practical information — not legal advice. GermanyFlow is not affiliated with any German government authority. Always confirm current requirements with the relevant official office before relying on anything here for an official submission.
